The Arctic Marine Risk Guideline (the “Service”), is a guideline tool assisting you to improve your understanding of best practices and risk assessments relevant for ship traffic and operations in the Arctic. It is not a compliance tool. The Service applies the risk management process as defined in ISO 31000:2018, and contains best practice methods and data sources for conducting regional and area-wide risk assessments for ship traffic and operations in the Arctic. We do not take responsibility for any decisions taken based on the information provided in this Service.

The use of the Service presupposes and does not replace the application of industry knowledge, experience and know-how. It should only be used by competent and experienced organisations and/or companies and does not release the user from exercising professional judgement. You hereby, on behalf of yourself and the company you represent, waive any claims against EPPR, any party in affiliation with the Arctic Council, and any company contributing to the Service, whether in contract or in tort (including negligence).

EPPR expressly disclaims any legal liability for any special, direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other loss or damage, whether in contract or in tort (including negligence), including, but not limited to, loss of use, production, revenue and profits, arising from or in connection with the Service or the use or reliance upon the Service.

This notice and any disputes arising out of or related to same shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to conflicts of law principles, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Oslo, Norway.
